4-2-3-1: How Arsenal will line-up next season if Carrasco completes move

According to the Daily Mail, Yannick Carrasco is on the verge of sealing a move to Arsenal as their first summer signing. How will the Gunners line-up with the Belgian if he seals the move?

Arsenal failed to live up to the expectation of their fans last season after finishing in sixth place on the log. The Gunners also reached the final of the Europa cup but they were thrashed by Chelsea. There is now a general consensus that Emery must bolster some aspects of his squad in order to be competitive.

On paper, the midfield of Arsenal looks solid especially if the likes of Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Mesut Ozil bring on their A game. Nonetheless, the departure of Aaron Ramsey has left the club searching for another midfielder in his stead. Mkhitaryan can still add creativity to the middle of the pack, not forgetting the dexterity of Guendouzi but Arsenal must get at least one more solid midfielder.

The defence of Arsenal has been exploited by majority of their opponents. While we expect Rob Holding to be back for next season, we cannot rely on Laurent Koscielny and even Mustafi as second fiddle players. A solid centre-back with physical presence is needed at Arsenal.

Emery has to deal with low budget in the transfer window but he has to reinforce at least three areas of his squad to be a tad solid. We take a swipe at how Arsenal may line-up if they sign Carrasco.
