Arsenal attacker Reiss Nelson has revealed what new boy Nicolas Pepe can bring to the Gunners squad.
Arsenal beat the likes of Manchester United, Napoli and Liverpool to sign Pepe from Lille in a club-record £72million deal.
The Ivorian was linked to the Premier league in the penultimate season and after impressing for Lille last season again, he decided to call time on his spell with the side.
He was wooed by Liverpool but the fact that he may not play regularly for the Kopites was a huge turn off for him.
He was featured as a substitute for Arsenal in their 1-0 win league opener against Newcastle last weekend but the tricky winger will be hoping to start the Gunners league game against Burnley this weekend.
Pepe came on for Nelson in the 71st minute, and the Ivorian star has been dubbed as a great addition by his colleague.
He’s settled in well and he looks a really good addition,’ Nelson told football.london.
‘We saw little glimpses on the pitch [against Newcastle] and you could see he has the flair we need on the right hand side.
‘He can cut inside and shoot as well, so he’s a great addition.’
Arsenal also signed on David Luiz, Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos and William Saliba, with the new look Arsenal side tipped for greatness.
