Arsenal have contacted La Liga club Eibar over a possible move for Spanish midfield schemer Joan Jordan, this is according to reports.
Unai Emery is expected to fortify his squad this summer, leaving Arsenal heavily linked with a move for a plethora of players. The North London club confirm the departure of Aaron Ramsey and they are looking for a player that can replace him.
Dennis Praet and Joachim Anderson are among the midfielders linked with a move to Arsenal but it appears that the Gunners will have to scout for other options after Sampdoria reportedly knocked back offers for the pair.
Jordan joined Eibar in the summer of 2017, where he has established himself as a classy footballer. In his first season at Eibar, he scored six goals and provided four assists. Meanwhile, the 24 year-old was a mainstay for Eibar last season in which he scored four goals and provided four assists in 38 appearances.
According Sportwitness who cited a report by Spanish Newspaper Marca, the services of Jordan is highly in demand. Sevilla are said to be working a deal for him. And while West Ham have submitted a bid for the creative midfielder, Arsenal are said to have made contact with the side for the player.
The player is currently valued at €15m but it is claimed by the report that Eibar would accept much less than that. The Gunners have a tiny transfer budget, which means the valuation of Jordan will fancy them.
