Arsenal transfer target Ryan Fraser has revealed he will spend at least one more year at Bournemouth before considering a move, per reports.
Unai Emery has been looking to side a winger for his squad and Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Yannick Carrasco. The Gunners are not able to meet the price tag of the aforementioned Belgian and they appear to have turned their attention to Bournemouth star.
Fraser enjoyed the best season of his career last term with the Cherries. The 25-year-old who is primarily deployed on the left wing scored six goals and provided 14 assist for Bournemouth in the league last season and his stock has increased. His assists record for last season was bettered by only Eden Hazard who ended the season with 15 assists.
The star has been playing hardball over extending his contract with the Cherries. He is in the final year of his contract and reports have indicated that Arsenal are preparing a bid for the star. However, the Scottish winger has revealed he would be staying with Bournemouth for another year.
“The likelihood is I will be at Bournemouth for another year,” he said.
“And what will happen, will happen.
‘That is all I can really say about it. No one has really spoken to me about it.’
The Daily Mirror claims Unai Emery prefers to sign Fraser, who may not need anytime to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League. But Fraser is valued at £30m, which means the Gunners will part will more funds to sign him over Carrasco.
Emery has just £40m to spare in the window, it is left to be seen if he’d truly go for Fraser.
