Chelsea have been giving a major transfer boost in the signing of highly rated ace Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund. According to the Guardian, the USA international has refused to agree on a new contract with the German side and is reportedly out of contract in 2020.
Pulisic is regarded as one of the most talented young forwards in Europe and has been on the radar of the Blues for the past few transfer windows.
He recently spoke in an interview of his dream to play in the premier league and finds the thought tempting. Pulisic spent a year in England in Oxfordshire and recounted some of his experience playing football in the city.
“England, the Premier League, is a league where lots of kids dream of playing so there is no reason why maybe one day I won’t play here.”
“As soon as the bell would ring I would go out and would be on the hardcourt pitches outside for hours and my parents had to drag me home.”
There have been reports of other premier league clubs looking to add the technically gifted player to their squad. Liverpool and Tottenham have been linked with Pulisic with Reds close to signing the forward some few seasons back.
The 20-year-old would be a major coup for Blues as a forward line comprising of Hazard and Pulisic would be one of the best in the league. Pulisic has been fantastic for Dortmund under the management of lucre Favre as they sit pretty at the top of the League. However, he would cost a lot of money to bring to Stamford Bridge but Chelsea have shown the ambition to spend big recently on Kepa Arrizabalaga and Jorginho in the last transfer window.
