Chelsea have presented Everton with the opportunity to sign academy product Fikayo Tomori on loan despite the transfer window few hours from being shut.
With Tomori’s brilliant performance at Derby County, it was hope that Frank Lampard will include him in his plans for the new season as the club could not sign any player this summer.
The two clubs have moved players back and forth Goodison Park and Stamford Bridge and have developed a transfer relationship with both Romelu Lukaku and Kurt Zouma having previously spent loan spells at Everton.
And Tomori have been strongly linked with the Toffees and with new reports via 101 Great goals claiming that Chelsea have offer Tomori to Marco Silva’s side.
Having excelled at Derby County last season, while he is not well equipped for a club of Chelsea’s standing, the Premier League is the natural next step.
Everton need a centre-back and the Blues’ squad is brimming with them. This is a win-win situation.
Time will tell if Everton’s interest is considerable enough to pull the deal through before the transfer deadline. Tomori nevertheless will be keen to move where he could get more playing time than remain at the Bridge and stay on the bench
