Chelsea and Real Madrid have reached an agreement over a transfer fee for Eden Hazard, according to reports.
Following Chelsea’s conquest of the Europa League, Eden Hazard tacitly said his goodbyes to the club. The Belgium international has been on the radar of Madrid since the first reign of Zinedine Zidane as the manager of the club, but the Spanish giants are now ready to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid has struggled since the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo and they are looking to sign a player in his stead. The aforementioned Portuguese winger led the side to three consecutive Champions League titles but in his absence, they finished the league 19 points behind the champions and were knocked out of the Champions league by Ajax.
Although Chelsea are wary of letting their players leave because of a transfer ban, Roman Abramovich has sanctioned a move for Hazard. ESPN cited a report via the Guardian which claimed both clubs have reached a €100 million agreement for Hazard to complete the dream move.
Chelsea have signed on Christian Pulisic, with the American attacker tipped as a worthy replacement for the outgoing Belgian. Callum Hodson-Odoi is another player that has been tip to replace Hazard.
