Frank Lampard has decided to bring along this man to Chelsea

Frank Lampard has demanded that Didier Drogba be named as one of the coaching members of Chelsea should he be appointed as the manager of the side, this is according to reports.

Chelsea are currently looking to replace Maurizio Sarri, who has reportedly agreed terms to return to Italy with Juventus. While several managers have been linked with a move to the Stamford Bridge, Lampard appears the favourite to nick the job.

He has held talks with Chelsea over the managerial position and on the same day, he was spotted hanging out with Drogba.

The imminent appointment of Lampard has divided the opinion of the club’s fanbase but Drogba has thrown his weight behind the ex England international like Rio Ferdinand.

Lampard is expected to bring forth the coaches that worked with him at Derby County – apparently, he wants Drogba to be one of his key men too.

At Derby County, Lampard narrowly failed to help them gain promotion but he has earned plaudits for the prospect showed so far.

Gianfranco Zola is still in the books of Chelsea and there is no telling if he’d continue in his role or be given a new designation.

The Chelsea job is not one that would be easy for any manager given the transfer ban handed to the club but we know Lampard is aware of this.
