Arsenal have received a massive boost in the transfer window, this follows from Joachim Andersen’s submission that he wants to leave Sampdoria this summer.
The Gunners had a fairly good run in the League last season but their biggest undoing was their inconsistent and shaky defense. The club raked in the excess of 50 goals in the League but for Emery, he has made that position a must fix this summer.
Several players have been linked with a move to Arsenal including 23-year-old Denmark star Andersen. But the Gunners are not the only side impressed with the show-off of the player, Tottenham are also said to be interested in his services.
Dubbed as a great ball playing defender, Andersen can play in any of the centre-back positions. To add to his many strengths is also his ability to play as a defensive midfielder, which has earned him a huge reputation in the Serie A.
The player has alerted clubs to his availability. Perhaps, Arsenal should pounce on him and do the needful.
“It could be time for me to further my career,” he told Goal. “I have loved my time in Sampdoria – the fans, the president, the staff, the players, the city – but maybe it’s time to move on to develop further.
“There are a number of interested clubs from Europe’s biggest leagues who are discussing with my agent and I’ll be making a decision shortly together with my family and my agent.”
Arsenal reportedly offered £44million to sign Andersen and his team mate Dennis Praet but the same was thrown out.
The Dennis defender is valued at 25,00 Mill. € by transfermarket. Maybe a price slightly above that would be enough for Arsenal to sign him.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Saliba, who has reportedly agreed personal terms to complete a five year deal.
