After watching Liverpool conquer the Champions League and give Manchester City a run for their money in the Premier League pursuit, you would feel the club does not need new signings. Alas, klopp is still in the market to reinforce his otherwise very strong squad.
According to emerging reports, Liverpool have launched a staggering €80M (£71m) bid to sign Ivorian and Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
Pepe has earned rave reviews for his impressive displays since moving to Lille in the summer of 2017 from Angers. Last season was particularly his best – he scored 22 League goals in 38 games for the French and several English clubs are on his case.
Arsenal and Man United have been heavily linked with the player since the winter window but it appears Liverpool are in pole position to secure his signing. According to Gazzetto dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, Liverpool have offered the 24-year-old player a five year deal.

Liverpool are blessed with a plethora of attacking talents. One wonders where or how Pepe would fit into the team but it appears that the team of Klopp thrives on competition, which brings out the best in his players.
It is widely claimed Mohamed Bouhafsi, who broke Fabinho’s transfer news has also said Liverpool are leading the chase for Pepe, giving credence to Schira’s claim.
