Sheyi Ojo will join Scottish side Rangers on a season long loan deal after agreeing to extend his deal by 5-years with the Liverpool, this is according to reports.
The 21-year -old player who joined Liverpool in the November of 2011 has had several loan spells away from the club. He spent last season on loan at Ligue One club Stade de Reims, where he featured in 13 games without scoring any goal.
Although, the youngster has divided opinion among pundits and fans, it appears that Steven Gerard desperately needs his service at Ibrox. If the deal goes through in time, he will join the Gers for the start of their pre-season campaign on Monday.
Liverpool believes the player will come good for them, that’s why they have offered him a long term contract to keep him at the club until 2024, per the Daily Mail.
The youngster can operate on both flanks as a winger but you’d expect him to have started fighting for a place in the first team of Klopp. Alas, he is yet to find his rhythm in the game.
Liverpool are said to be heavily interested in Nicolas Pepe despite having a chunk of top-notch attackers but it is left to be seen who they sign in this window.
