Man United are in talks to sign Dutch and Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, this is according to rife reports in Spain via the Metro.
United are expected to reinforce some areas of their squad and they have earmarked Cillessen as a prime target for the summer.
The 30-year-old star who joined Barcelona from Ajax in the summer of 2016 has spent most of his time playing second fiddle to Ter Stegen. He has been featured in only five La Liga games since joining Barcelona and now, he has decided to call time on his spell with them.
United are not the only club linked with a move for the shot-stopper. Benfica have been mentioned as his suitor but they do not have the financial power to meet his valuation, the report claims.
The lure of playing in the Premier league sets United at a huge advantage. The report has stated also that the Red Devils are willing to meet his £22m valuation.
United are wary of the future of David De Gea, who is speculated to be contemplating a move to Paris Saint Germain. The aforementioned Spaniard is on the radar of PSG, he may be unable to refuse an offer if they come for him.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be actively involved in the transfer window but mainly for the signing of players.
