The Red Devils are looking to sign a striker from the German Bundesliga following Romelu Lukaku’s reported transfer to Inter Milan.
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are lining up a transfer package for Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller as they look to recoup as much as £80m from Romelu Lukaku’s possible transfer to Inter Milan.
24 year-old Haller netted 15 goals in 29 games for the German club in the just concluded season, and he is well available in the market as several clubs are keeping an eye on the French forward.
In this case, Manchester United would rather act fast as Merseysiders Everton are not resting at all. They previously had a link with the French striker, and could make a move if nothing deters them.
The Old Trafford outfit will be playing in the Europa League next season. This may affect their chances of persuading the biggest names in the game.
United will have to do a lot of work during the transfer window and when the season kicks off as their opponents are stronger than they are at the moment.
The Manchester club are also looking to offload Paul Pogba for a big money deal which they can use to secure other players.
