Man United on the brink of sealing deal for first summer signing

Manchester United are on the brink of signing Welsh and Swansea winger Daniel James, according to reports.

United are shopping for players in the transfer window and they have made the signing of a winger their top priority. A chunk of impressive footballers have been linked with a move to United but James may be their first summer signing if reports making the rounds are anything to go by.

Known for his pace and trickery on the pitch, James is blessed with the ability to lay good crosses – an attribute the Solskjaer desires in other to bring out the best in Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku. The 21-year-old star star featured in 33 games for Swansea last season and found the back of the net four times.

According to Evening Standard, the only stumbling block to the deal is disagreement over the player’s transfer fee. United are holding out for a £10m fee but Swansea will only part ways with the Wales international if close to double( £20m) that amount is paid.

United are not the only club linked with a move for the player. French giants Monaco are also lurking around Swansea for the player, leading United to agree to meet his valuation. He has reportedly arrived United in a bid to undergo a medical and complete the move.

James may not get into the first team of United immediately but he has been tipped to come good. Solskjaer has been handed a bogus £200m, he is expected to use the same to start rebuilding the squad.
