David De Gea will sign a new and improved contract with Manchester United, that’s the claim of Sky sports reporter James Cooper.
The Spanish netminder has been heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer, with Paris Saint Germain and Juventus reportedly lurking around the fortress of Old Trafford to sign him.
He has 12-months left to see out his current deal, though United can still extend the deal by a year, they not want to take chances with him.
The form of the keeper nosedived last season as it was with his teammates but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reiterated his desire to keep him within his fold at Old Trafford.
And cooper has revealed a probable breakthrough for United in their quest to keep the player.

The player is expected to put pen to paper on a deal with United just after their pre-season games,.
He currently earns £200,000 a week at United but reports have indicated he’s holding out for £350,000 to cross the Is and dot the Ts in a deal.
De Gea joined Manchester United in the summer of 2011 in an £18.9 million deal as direct replacement for Edwin van de Sar. He has established himself as one of the best shot-stoppers in the world since then.
United have signed only two players in this transfer but they are looking to add to others before the window is closed.
Solskjaer is also looking to keep a major chunk of his current players at the club.
