Manchester United have tabled a mammoth €120 million bid for transfer prime target Joao Felix, reports Hardtackle.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed a hefty transfer war-chest for this summer and he is keen on expending the same to make the squad more formidable. United have been linked with a plethora of players but Benfica’s youngster Felix appeals so much to them.
Felix joined Benfica’s reserves in 2015, where his stock in world football has steadily increased due to his display of quality and skills. He gained promotion to the first team of side only last season but he scored 15 goals in 26 League appearances.
United are not the only club that have taken note of his quality. Manchester City and Real Madrid are reportedly lurking around to sign him but Benfica would only budge to releasing him if his €120m release clause is met.
Hardtackle, who cited a report from CM Journal claim United are willing to meet the valuation of the player and they have made the offer already.
Felix can play from any of the flanks or behind the striker – he could provide for United the creative midfielder they have been searching for. The most creative player for United is Mata, Given his age, United must look for a replacement and improvement upon him, this Felix can offer that.
Spending €120m on a player that is not proven is a huge gamble but who knows, the Dutch winger can become the next Cristiano Ronaldo.
