Man United transfer news: £71m-rated striker sends come-and-get me plea to Ole Solskjaer

Brazil and Germio attacker Everton Soares has signified interest in lacing his boots for Manchester United, according to reports.

The 23-year-old striker is expected to shine at the ongoing Copa America hosted by Brazil and he was on the score-sheet in the opening game of the Samba boys.

He had a substitute appearance against Boliva but he left the spectators awe-struck with his goal. If he continues to shine, his stock will increase and he may end up in Europe next season.

Soares moved to Gremio from Fortaleza in 2012 on season long loan deal before his deal was made permanent. Since his move to the Immortal Tricolor, he has remained one of their biggest stars.

His display has earned him the attraction of Pep Guardiola, who reportedly wants to prise him away from his club. United have also been closely monitoring the striker and we may be set for a bidding war. AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain are other top European clubs on his case.

The player has a £71 million release clause embedded in his contract but it is believed that Gremio would let him leave for  £37m, which is still subject to the club’s president approval.

While there is no concrete offers made for him, he has tacitly sent a come-and-get me plea to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

‘I’m a player that’s always trying to get on top [of the opposition],’ he told the Daily Mail.

‘Cutting in from the left with dribbles and good finishes. Clubs in Europe have this style of play too and maybe I can fit in at Manchester United and others.’

Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a move to Inter Milan. While rife reports claim he has agreed personal terms to complete the switch, United may have already started to look for his replacement.
