Marcus Rashford rejects Man United contract, gives surprise condition to sign deal

Marcus Rashford has stalled over signing a new deal with Manchester United because he wants a mammoth  £300,000 new wage at the club, according to reports.

Rashford is currently one of the best academy product of United in this decade. Following his impressive growth and development, he was even handed the no. Jersey as he is viewed as a huge part of the club’s future.

The England striker was the preferred choice for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer immediately he took over the reigns of the club. While Rashford is expected to slug it out with Romelu Lukaku for the point man position next season, the future of the latter has been cast in doubt.

United are facing a huge dilemma keeping their current crop of players. David De Gea and Paul Pogba have also been heavily linked with a move to away from the side. Should the aforementioned players leave United, they would not want to lose their home groomed striker.

Rashford will enter the final year of his contract with United next season. His representatives have reportedly held talks with United but there is no agreement in sight.

According to the Daily Star, his representatives have made a huge case for him – they claim Rashford deserves to earn better than  £270,000 that is taken home by Pogba. Part of their argument is the fact that the 22-year-old star has been a better performer than Sanchez who smiles to the bank for  £450k.

He has been linked with a move to Barcelona, which may be the reason why they are playing hardball over extending his deal.

  • Pls sell any player who is after fat wages and buy those who are ready to give their best to the club. Remember that these are the same players who could not give us results when we needed them. Sell Sanchez asap. GGMU
