Manchester United have accepted Inter Milan’s bid for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku to the club, that;s according to reports.
Lukaku fueled speculation over his future at the opening of the transfer window when he labeled Antonio Conte as “the best manager” in the world and he has been linked with a move to Inter Milan ever since.
The Belgian striker joined Manchester United in the summer of 2017 in a record £75m ($91m) deal and he was a regular under Jose Mourinho.
But since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer relegated him to playing second fiddle to Marcus Rashford, their relationship strained and the Belgian has been pushing for a move.
He was subject of an initial bid from Inter Milan, which was rejected by the Red Devils but now, the Belgian powerful striker is on his out of Old Trafford.
According to Goal, Lukaku agent Federico Pastorello has confirmed that they are on their way to Milan ahead of the completion of the deal.
He took to his Instagram handle to post a picture as they head to Italy for the completion of the deal.
Lukaku has agreed to sign a five year deal with the San Siro outfit and Manchester United have agreed a €65 million (£60m/$72.8m) plus €13m in ad ons for his transfer.
The imminent departure leaves Manchester United desperate for the need to sign a striker in the stead of Lukaku.
They have been linked with a move for Inaki Williams and Mario Mandzukic but it is left to be seen who’d join them.
