Arsenal are still foot-dragging in the transfer window despite the obvious need for a new signings. Nonetheless, it appears that a breakthrough is in sight in their quest to land transfer prime target Yannick Carrasco but the fans of the club are already reeling in absolute fantasy over the imminent arrival of the winger.

Carrasco has reportedly agreed personal terms to join Arsenal and negotiation over his move to the Emirates is going on well.

The Belgian was on the radar of Arsenal in the January transfer window but due to the club’s frugal nature, they offered Unai Emery only a paltry budget at that time. Arsenal opted to sign Dennis Saurez from Barcelona on a loan deal, who was largely a flop.

Carrasco has laid bare his desire to leave Dalian Yifang and Arsenal are about the only club linked with signing him. His Chinese club are not willing to let him leave for any price less than £27m, reports have indicated Arsenal are willing to match that tag.

Blessed with the ability to play from either flanks, Carrasco is a very hardworking player. His biggest asset is his ability to dribble past defenders on high speed. He is adept at initiating counter attacks and he likes to lay long passes, an attribute the strikers of Arsenal are sure going to like.

Arsenal are expected to sign at least one reliable centre-back and a midfielder too but Carrasco seem to be the top priority of the club.

Images have emerged online of how the player will look in an Arsenal jersey, and so, we feature a mock up picture of the player wearing our shirt.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed why Mikel Arteta will succeed as the head coach of Arsenal, per reports.

Arsenal confirmed the appointment of the Spanish tactician only today and  a huge section of the Arsenal fan base have been thrown into hysteria.

Arteta joined Arsenal from Everton in the summer of 2011 and left in 2016, where he delved into management.

During his spell, he captained Arsenal and the manager of the side at that time Arsene Wenger always acknowledged his off-pitch leadership attributes and technical ability in training.

Arteta joined Manchester City as the manager three years ago when Guardiola was appointed to manage the club but he has never hidden his desire to lead a side as head-coach.

Although he is ruing the departure of his ever reliable assistant, Guardiola has laid bare the reason Arteta would turn out a huge success at Arsenal.

“When you have a dream you cannot stop it. Arsenal was an important part of Mikel’s career. One of the best teams in England. We wish him all the best. I am pretty sure he will do an excellent job.” Guardiola said ahead of City’s clash against Leicester City.

Given his time at the Etihad, he knows the feeling of winning titles as a manager and he’d be hoping to replicate the same feat at Arsenal.

Following the official confirmation of his appointment, Mikel Arteta said:

“This is a huge honour. Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world. We need to be competing for the top trophies in the game and that’s been made very clear to me in my discussions with Stan and Josh Kroenke, and the senior people from the club.

“We all know there is a lot of work to be done to achieve that but I am confident we’ll do it. I’m realistic enough to know it won’t happen overnight but the current squad has plenty of talent and there is a great pipeline of young players coming through from the academy.”

Arsenal are on the brink of appointing Manchester City assistant manager Mikel Arteta as the long term replacement for Unai Emery.

The Spanish manager has reportedly reached a three-and-half year agreement to take over the reigns of the North London club.

While the fans are divided in opinion over the ability of Arteta because of his lack experience, they expect him to lure one or two of Manchester City’s players to the club.

The Arsenal fanbase have called on the incoming manager to sign Leroy Sane for the club, who are currently in shambles after a run of bad form.

Without reinforcing most areas of the Arsenal squad, it has been posited that Arteta would be unable to achieve any meaningful, feat with the side hence wholesome changes are expected beginning the January transfer window.

Sane, who has been out of Manchester City because of an injury but the Germany international rates Arteta highly and has maintained a cordial relationship with the Spaniard.

“People always ask me about training under Pep, but the things I’ve learnt from Mikel Arteta!” the winger is quoted in a book written by two Sport writers Luis Martín and Pol Ballús (h/t Planet Football).

“We get on brilliantly, he’s a lovely guy and a great coach. And he’s always right. He’ll watch me at training and then afterwards he’ll tell me what he thinks. He doesn’t just suggest something and leave me to get on with it.”
Arteta is said to be a huge admirer of Sane as well and the Arsenal fan base believes the winger could follow Arteta to Arsenal.

Sane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga but he’s open to an Arsenal move as well.

Arteta has been promised resources to run transfers for Arsenal – we could see big money moves involving players like Sane.

Mikel Arteta has put pen to paper to become the next manager of Arsenal, this is according to reports.

Arsenal have been in talks with the assistant manager of Manchester City over taking over the reigns of the North London club and there are claims a three and half year agreement has been reached.

The Gunners handed Unai Emery the sack after a series of poor and shambolic display from his team. Freddie Ljungberg was appointed as the interim manager of the side but the former Gunner has in no way improved upon the performance of the team.

Several names have been thrown into the fray as possible long term replacement for Emery, including Massimiliano Allegri, and Carlo Ancelotti but Arteta appears to be the favourite of the club’s board.

Although his imminent appointment has divided the fans of Arsenal in opinion because of his inexperience, it is believed that he is the brain behind how Man City have turned out under Pep Guardiola.

Ahead of Arsenal Premier League game against rivals Everton, Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano has taken to twitter to claim Arteta has signed a deal with Arsenal.

The deal is believe to be worth  £5 million-a-season, same as was the package offered to Emery.
