Eden Hazard will be officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player later tonight following the successful completion of his medicals with the club, per reports.
After a successful seven year spell at Stamford Bridge, Hazard decided to call time on his spell with the Blues and he opted to join La Liga giants Madrid. Chelsea agreed a £130million deal for the transfer of the player but it was still subject to medicals.
Ahead of his medical, the Belgian attacking stalwart was spotted at La Moraleja University Hospital as he arrived. He was all smiles before the routine checks and he is expected to be unveiled tonight.
After enduring a shambolic season, Real Madrid are rebuilding their squad ahead of the coming season and Hazard has joined them as their fifth signing of the season following the arrivals of Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao and Rodrygo Goes.
Hazard has been trailed by Real Madrid since the first reign of Zinedine Zidane as the manager of the side. For the player and the club, they have realised a common dream.
Hazard will don the number 7 jersey formerly won by Cristiano Ronaldo and he is expected to improve the squad of Real Madrid.
His departure from Chelsea have left a huge void in their squad and the transfer ban handed to them mean they may not be able to sign a replacement for him. However, Christian Pulisic and Callum Hodson-Odoi are expected to step into his big boots.
